What is a Cafeteria?

A Cafeteria is a restaurant in which patrons wait on themselves, carrying their food to tables from counters where it is displayed and served. There is little to no waiting staff table service, whether a restaurant or within an institution such as a large office building or school; a school dining location is also referred to as a dining hall or canteen.
